What’s Included at Your Glamping Site

Glamping is all about finding the perfect relationship between nature and comfort. These amenities provide all you’ll need, plus some. If that’s still not enough, guess what? There’s space for you to bring many of your own items from home. Benefits extend beyond the immediate vicinity of your glamping site—you’ll have access to all the fun activities in downtown Asheville and the greater surrounding area, too!

The Space: A canvas weatherproof 12’ x 16’ platform tent accommodating up to 4 guests

Inside

  • One queen bed with linens—soft cotton sheets, comforter and pillows

  • A foldable cot with additional floorspace for sleeping bags or air mattresses (cot linens not provided). The cot can be stored under the bed when not in use.

  • Interior lighting

  • A bedside table

  • A 4-cup coffee maker with filters and coffee provided (or feel free to bring your own favorite blend!)

  • One luggage rack for personal clothing storage

  • One fan plus large windows with bug screens

  • Capabilities for both AC and USB charging of personal electronics

Outside

  • One parking space beside tent

  • Covered front porch with chairs

  • A picnic table under the shade of the forest

  • A large fire ring with grill

  • Exterior lighting

  • One Coleman® 54 Quart Steel Belted® Cooler—It’s large enough to hold 85 cans and tall enough to hold 2-liter bottles upright; you'll have plenty of space for refreshments for your entire party. 

  • Pets are welcome—dogs must be leashed

On Premises

  • Bathroom facilities are shared with the Lake Powhatan Campground and include hot showers

  • Items available to purchase at Gatehouse: firewood ($6), fire starter and ice ($3)

  • Water pumps are available in the Glamping loop and shared among the 12 sites

  • Access to Lake Powhatan beach and fishing pier

  • Access to Bent Creek hiking and biking trail system
